Jonathan Opdyke
Chief Executive Officer
Prior to leading HookLogic, Jonathan led world-wide e-Business and web marketing strategy for Xerox Corporation. Working with stakeholders throughout Xerox, he planned and championed programs to grow online revenue and derive cost savings using the internet. As a “Lean Six Sigma” black belt, he led cross-functional efforts to maximize online lead generation and optimize telesales and field sales success rates. In earlier roles, he worked on assignment in London to establish a pan-European e-Business team and also served as a program manager delivering and managing new websites and applications.
Earlier in his career, Jonathan managed international operations for Beyond Interactive (a global online advertising agency now part of WPP Group). He spearheaded a team that established new offices for the agency in several countries and managed the infrastructure to support them including business planning, financial reporting, and human resources.
Jonathan holds Masters and Bachelors degrees in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan Tauber Institute for Global Operations. He is an active traveler and outdoorsman.
Vardaan Vasisht
President and Chief Operating Officer
Prior to joining HookLogic, Vardaan served as Vice President of Technology and Director of Data Solutions at Beyond Interactive. Over eight years at Beyond Interactive Vardaan played an instrumental role in growing the company’s technology division globally. His primary responsibilities included developing, training, and managing a global team of technology experts and integrating capabilities with other WPP companies. He successfully productized several new technologies and established a profitable data solutions practice unique to the online advertising industry.
Vardaan has designed and deployed scalable technology solutions for clients such as Cendant, Oracle, Nokia, Staples, RBS, Volkswagen, Warner Brothers and Procter & Gamble. Earlier in his career, Vardaan worked with Accenture, American Express Bank and Bharti Telecom (a leading telecommunications company in India). Vardaan also served on the advisory board of DoubleClick and the Interactive Advertising Bureau and speaks frequently at industry conferences and events.
Vardaan earned his Master in Business Development at IILM, India. Vardaan is an avid traveler and enjoys spotting latest cultural and technology trends around the world.
Kevin Hermida
Chief Technology Officer
Kevin brings a broad technology skill set, with a core expertise in database architecture. Prior to joining HookLogic, Kevin worked at Colspace Corporation, where he led the development of highly scalable web-based collaboration and campaign management systems utilized by leading companies like Siemens, OMD and Cartier.
Kevin previously served as Chief Technology Officer of Beyond Interactive. He led a team that developed industry-leading knowledge management, media, and reporting systems, involving complex data integration with clients and partners like DoubleClick. Earlier in his career, Kevin led the development of reporting applications for pioneering web usage measurement systems at Interse and later, Microsoft Corporation.
Kevin earned his Bachelors degree in Computer Science and Economics from Duke University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.
Jonn Behrman
Chief Product Officer
Jonn Behrman is a serial entrepreneur and a recognized expert in online advertising and direct marketing. In 1995 Mr. Behrman founded Beyond Interactive, a leading digital ad agency, which he successfully grew to 300 employees and $100MM in annual billings before selling it to Grey Advertising. In addition to his web marketing expertise, Mr. Behrman has extensive experience in technology and product development. Mr. Behrman was the driving force behind Beyond Interactive’s, Lifeline ™ application used to manage and optimize the web marketing campaigns of 100′s of high profile companies, including Ford, Oracle, P&G, Reebok, Hasbro, and Cendant.
After leaving Beyond Interactive, Jonn founded two technology companies; SpiritShop.com a custom printing company focused on the K-12 market and uRefer, a software and marketing services company focused on helping businesses set up and manage referral marketing programs.
As an interactive advertising industry leader, Jonn has appeared and been quoted in a variety of publications including the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Ad Age and Ad Week. He resides in Ann Arbor, Michigan. A Venezuelan native, he graduated from the University of Michigan Business School with a Computer Information Systems and Marketing degree in 1996.
Kimberly Bambach
Chief Financial Officer
Kimberly brings a media and ecommerce pedigree to HookLogic by way of online jewelry retailer Ice.com. Earlier in her career she handled strategic planning at Comedy Central, before a 10 year stint at United Media, a wholly owned subsidiary of E.W. Scripps, where she served several financial and operational roles spanning Corporate Strategic Planning, Controllership, Legal/Business Affairs, and IT/Operations infrastructure.
Kimberly then set her sights on the startup world as a CFO for Vindigo, Inc. a mobile application company, XpresSpa a Spa/Retail start-up, and Jingle Networks. As CFO of Jingle Networks, she was instrumental in the sale $62 million sale to Marchex, a call-based ad network that spans traditional media, online, and mobile.
In her free time, Kimberly can be found smacking volleyballs and softballs, or chasing her kids down the slopes.
David Metter
President, Automotive
David brings a wealth of automotive knowledge and experience to HookLogic, both from a dealer and service provider perspective.
Prior to joining HookLogic, David served more than six years as Chief Marketing Officer for MileOne Automotive, a large, privately held automotive dealership group. At MileOne, he built an industry-leading marketing organization, leveraging technology and the internet to increase market share, while dramatically decreasing advertising spend per vehicle sold.
David previously headed sales for Autobase, where he helped grow the company from a small start-up to the leading automotive CRM software vendor.
He began his career on showroom floor. As an early adopter of technology, he built a prospecting and follow-up system that helped him rise to become one of the top Chrysler salesmen in the country and eventually General Manager of a dealership.
David is regarded as one of the foremost experts in the automotive marketing and e-commerce space and is a frequent speaker at industry events including Digital Dealer, the Global Automotive Conference, and JD Power’s Automotive Internet Roundtable.
David is an avid automotive enthusiast and is actively involved with the American Cancer Society.
John Roswech
Chief Revenue Officer
John Roswech serves as Chief Revenue Officer for HookLogic. In this role, John builds on the media sales momentum that HookLogic has with brand marketers and their agencies.
John brings more than 18 years of sales management and advertising experience to HookLogic. Roswech comes to HookLogic by way of Jingle Networks, Inc. where he served as President and guided the growth of free directory assistance service 800-FREE-411. He spent six years working with both brand and direct response advertisers to engage in-market customers through the directory assistance services channel. John accelerated the company’s growth in the emerging free directory assistance market resulting in a $62 million sale to Marchex, a call-based ad network that spans traditional media, online, and mobile.
Prior to Jingle Networks, John served as Vice President of Sales of Atlas Solutions (aQuantive) where he managed sales and account management teams for third-party ad serving, search, rich media, and landing page optimization. Under his sales leadership, revenue increased from start-up in 2001 to over $100mm, enabling in the sale of aQuantive to Microsoft for $6.2bn in 2007. Before aQuantive, he was senior director of sales with Matchlogic (Excite@Home). John graduated with a business degree from the University of Maine.
Ben Reynolds
SVP, Account Services
In his role as SVP of Account Services, Ben Reynolds leads the HookLogic retail account team in implementing integrated media strategies that monetize shopping traffic on ecommerce websites. Ben and his team work with ecommerce sites such as Staples.com, Overstock.com, Shoebuy.com, Staples.com, and Wayfair in leveraging their unique shopping experience to unlock the value of powerful influence points deep into a shopper’s purchase journey.
Ben arrives at HookLogic with more than 20 years of experience in all facets of shopper media, including sales, marketing, and digital place-based media. At PRN, he held multiple positions managing valuable relationships with large retailers such as Best Buy, Target, and Sam’s Club. Previous to his retail experience he held finance, marketing, and sales positions at Sara Lee Corporation. Ben has an MBA in Marketing and BS in Accounting from Indiana University.
Ben Cooper
Vice President and General Manager, Europe
Prior to joining HookLogic, Ben acquired a broad skill base from several roles within Xerox Europe. During his tenure as eBusiness & Sales Systems Development Manager, Ben was responsible for leveraging Internet technologies to optimize business processes and generate operational efficiencies within the sales organization following the Lean Six Sigma methodology. Ben also gained experience in a Senior Account Business Development role, where he had direct account and revenue growth responsibilities. Earlier in his career, Ben supported business and product development initiatives at the Cambridge-based technology start-up PageCam.
Ben earned a Bachelors degree in Geography from the University of Sheffield, England. Outside of work, he is an active traveler and sportsman.
Steve Elson
Vice President, Search Media
Steve Elson serves as Vice President of Search Media for HookLogic. In this role, he is responsible for helping brand customers leverage HookLogic’s retail and travel networks to reach qualified shoppers at the most influential time in the purchase cycle – when they are actively researching and making purchase decisions on ecommerce sites. Steve is currently focused on directing the growth of the HookLogic Retail Search Exchange, where brands gain featured product placement across a network of retailers.
Prior to joining HookLogic, he held senior Account Planning positions at Campbell-Ewald and Digitas, providing consumer insight and strategic guidance for a diverse array of brands. Steve previously served as Co-Director of Marketing Optimization at Beyond Interactive, a digital marketing and media company. He helped spearhead the launch of Beyond Interactive’s Mexico City office, where he held a position as Director of Client Services. Steve holds a Bachelor’s degree in Consumer Economics and Housing from Cornell University.
Gary Evans
Vice President, Human Resources and General Manager, Ann Arbor
Gary is responsible for assuring all HookLogic employees are happy and successful in their careers. As a founding member of the Ann Arbor HookLogic office in 2008, Gary helped build out a top-notch staff while creating a healthy and productive working environment (while also helping manage one of the company’s largest client relationships). He has also enjoyed leveraging his operational skills, helping put in place core systems across offices. In early 2012, he took over global leadership of Human Resources for the organization.
As an early dotcom pioneer, Gary has grown his career within the ever-changing online sales and marketing space. His career began in earnest as Director of Training at Beyond Interactive, where he was responsible for training hundreds of employees from around the world. By 2005 he had become the senior member of his office, ultimately leading all technology development as Sr. Partner of Information Systems for GroupM, Ann Arbor (the company into which Beyond Interactive was ultimately folded).
Gary graduated with a History degree from Eastern Michigan University. Outside of work, his passions include music, literature, and spending time with his family.
